Road Trip...

Yesterday we drove out to the BIG OLD METROPOLIS of South Bend to attend a birthday party. I never realized how rural my kids are until yesterday.

"Mommy look there is a HOSPITAL!!"

"Hann ah honey that is not a hospital that is an APARTMENT complex"

"What is an apartment complex?"

Which lead to a lengthy discussion and "WHY" would someone not want to have a yard?

I was informing them, "B ryce's party is at a Kids Gym."

"What is a kids gym mommy?"

"Well Ga be, A kids gym is a gym for kids. It has small sized equipment (Bars, beams, trampolines) for kids."

"Wow mommy! They have lots of cool things in the city!"

Sisterly Love...

I have to preface this by saying that the girls do normally get a long very well, every so often Diva Lin dsay-b and Diva Hann ah come out and we have some Cat Fights.

The girls are at their karoke machine fighting over who is going to sing, "A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes", I decided to try and gently make a point and I said, "Girls, why don't you sing it together like Aly and AJ do." To which Hannah looks at me, throws up her hands and says, "That is just fine for THEM! ALI does not have a BOSSY SISTER NAMED LIN DSAY!!!!!"

All I could say was, "You do have a point there".

Confessions....

1) You know that you stay home in your jammies too much when you dress your children and they ask, "Where are we going today?"

2) When you need to look for clean laundry you head to the very large mountain of clean laundry piled into a huge pile on the utility room floor.

3) When you realize that you have yet to unpack your suitcase from your trip to Florida. Your trip that was from 9/28-10/8.

4) You realize that you have not been IN your closet since before Christmas when you shoved 2 storage totes in there to high them from your company.

5) You lock your bedroom door when you have company because you are "hiding the clutter" from the other rooms in your bedroom. You know, the tote of coloring books, crayons, markers, glue, scissors, workbooks, abacus, pencils and everything else your child deems necessary on a daily basis.
